The Challenge
The operator behind this location runs several food brands, including Tyson’s Seafood, and knows the cost of a late opening better than most. Every week past the planned date is lost revenue, a grand opening that loses momentum, and franchise fees that run whether the doors are open or not.
The brief was a complete franchise build-out in six weeks. A typical donut-shop fit-out in Dallas-Fort Worth runs twelve to sixteen weeks, so the schedule was roughly half the norm, and the finished shop still had to pass franchise inspection to the letter. A shorter schedule doesn’t come with a shorter punch list.
What We Built
The site was sequenced for speed before the first day of demolition. The plan, the crew, and the shop capacity were locked in together, so nothing waited on a decision once work started. Because RHQ’s millwork and stainless fabrication are produced in-house, the counters, display racks, and kitchen pieces were built while the site was being prepped instead of sitting in another company’s queue.
The scope covered the whole shop: storefront glazing and the signage-ready facade, the order counter with the franchise tile band and POS positions, menu boards, stainless donut display racks behind the counter, the grab-and-go window seating, the back-of-house stainless line, and every finish from the floor to the ceiling grid. Storefront, interior, and finishes came together in one continuous push with no gaps between trades.
The Result
The build finished inside the six-week target. The $10,000 early-completion bonus was paid in full, and the location was handed over ready to operate, brand-consistent from the storefront to the service counter, with no open items carried past opening day. It was selling donuts and kolaches on day one.
