Four pieces: two perforated steamer stacks, one water pan (bottom), and one lid. The stacks nest over the water pan so you can steam two layers of food at once.

The stacks use 3/8″ big-hole perforations. The larger holes let steam circulate quickly for even cooking, which is why this model is labeled a “big hole” steamer versus the small-hole versions.
