The Challenge
When a bakery’s design doesn’t match its product, the gap shows. The space signals a price point and a level of care before anyone takes a bite, and the Plano interior was working against a brand with a loyal following and a strong Texas presence.
The redesign had to solve two things at once. On the design side, the space needed to move from functional-but-generic to distinctly Sweet Hut. On the operations side, the service counter had to work harder: counter flow, POS positioning, and grab-and-go placement directly affect how quickly staff serve and how many guests move through at peak.
Then there was the season. Winter construction in DFW puts adhesive curing and finish quality at risk, so our crew ran controlled heating throughout the build to keep material conditions in spec without giving back schedule.
What We Built
A complete interior and exterior redesign, handled by one team. The front-of-house was rebuilt around a modern, minimalist aesthetic with enough warmth to hold guests comfortably, while the counter layout was re-sequenced so staff stopped fighting the space during a rush. Exterior work brought the storefront in line with what guests find inside — the full scope of our design and build service, from concept through final finish.

The Result
The redesigned Sweet Hut does what good restaurant design is supposed to do: it converts visitors into regulars, and regulars into people who tell other people. Ownership reports daily compliments on the space, and counter performance improved as soon as the workflow layout was resolved.
Plano Magazine, Community Impact, and Restaurant Guru all covered the finished space. That coverage wasn’t a campaign. It followed a room that was genuinely worth writing about — the kind of result a coordinated design, fabrication, and build team is set up to deliver.
